Punch’s Creek Renewable Energy is a renewable energy project consisting of two stages, located in the heart of the South West Queensland Renewable Energy Zone. The Stage 1 project consists of approximately 480 MWp PV and a 400 MW / 1,600 MWh DC coupled connection into a new 330/33 kV substation.

With direct access to the Powerlink Transmission Network, this site provides the ultimate balance between connection and opportunity.

The site is located on prime land with a 30 year + lease option and has already obtained significant support from the local community.

The project received full development approval in Q1 2024 and EPBC approval in May 2024, with a CHMP executed in 2024 and a Connection & Access Agreement executed with Powerlink in December 2024.

In August 2025, the project was sold to EDPR, a very experienced asset owner internationally, as their flagship asset in the ever-growing Australian renewable environment.
